What Is Laser Cutting?
Laser cutting is a non-contact manufacturing process that uses a focused laser beam to cut 2D sheet metal parts with high precision.
We use both fiber and CO₂ lasers to handle a wide range of materials—including stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel, and brass. With cutting tolerances down to ±0.1 mm, this process is ideal for producing flat parts like brackets, covers, enclosures, and structural plates.
Whether you’re developing a prototype or low-volume production run, laser cutting offers clean edges, tight features, and excellent repeatability—without the need for tooling.
Types of Laser Cutting Machines
We utilize a range of industrial laser cutting systems to suit different materials, thicknesses, and precision requirements.
Fiber Laser Cutting
High-speed, energy-efficient laser cutting ideal for stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and brass. Delivers precise cuts with minimal distortion across thin to mid-thickness sheets.
CO₂ Laser Cutting
Best suited for thicker metals and non-metallics like acrylic. Produces smooth edges and is effective for both industrial parts and decorative applications.
High-Power Laser (>6kW)
Used for cutting large-format parts or thick materials up to 20 mm. Maintains cut quality and edge consistency even on dense or reflective metals.
Laser Cutting Materials We Support
We support laser cutting for a wide range of materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel, brass, and copper. Each material offers different mechanical properties, cutting behavior, and surface finish quality. Whether you're prototyping enclosures, brackets, or signage, our team will help you select the right material to match your performance and budget needs.
Stainless Steel
Durable and corrosion-resistant, stainless steel is ideal for structural parts, enclosures, and brackets. Provides clean edges with minimal burring when laser cut.
Mild Steel
Affordable and easy to cut, mild steel is perfect for general-purpose parts, including plates, supports, and industrial components. Supports zinc plating or painting.
Aluminum
Lightweight and corrosion-resistant, aluminum is widely used in electronics, aerospace, and enclosures. Laser cutting yields clean, oxidation-prone edges—often paired with anodizing.
Brass
Brass offers excellent machinability and a decorative finish. Suitable for signage, panels, and electronic shielding, though reflective surfaces may require fiber laser.
Copper
Highly conductive and often used in power systems or bus bars. Due to reflectivity, fiber lasers are preferred for clean, precise cuts.
Galvanized Steel
Zinc-coated steel combines strength and corrosion resistance. Common in HVAC, brackets, and outdoor structures. Laser cutting must account for zinc vapor.
Acrylic (PMMA)
For CO₂ laser cutting only, acrylic enables crystal-clear cuts and polished edges. Popular for signage, displays, and lighting components.
Wood & MDF
Applicable for non-metal laser cutting using CO₂ lasers. Wood yields rich burnt edges and is suitable for models, packaging, and decorative items.

Laser Cutting FAQs
What materials can be laser cut?
We support stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and acrylic. Material thickness varies—up to 25 mm for mild steel.
What’s the cutting tolerance and edge quality?
Typical tolerance is ±0.1 mm. Laser-cut edges are clean, with minimal burrs. We offer post-processing like deburring and polishing if needed.
What files do you accept?
We recommend .DXF, .DWG, .STEP, or .IGES files. Our engineers can assist with DFM if the file requires adjustment.
Can you do both prototypes and production?
Yes. We support low-volume prototyping with no MOQ, as well as batch production with short lead times (3–7 days).
Do you offer custom surface finishes or engravings?
Yes. We can apply painting, anodizing, or marking upon request. Just let us know during quoting.
